Transfer securities via certificate



To transfer securities by mailing a certificate:

  1. All named account holders must endorse the back of the certificate. Or if you choose, you can send the certificate unsigned followed by an Irrevocable Stock or Bond Power, with note attached to the certificate stating that the power is being sent under separate cover.
  2. Terra Nova Financial, LLC account number should be written on the front of the certificate in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Certificates should be sent to:

We recommend sending certificates via registered mail, or use an overnight service that allows for tracking and insurance protection.

Important: the registration on the certificate must match the Terra Nova Financial, LLC account registration. Certificates received that do not match the title of the account will be sent overnight to the address on file.

Terra Nova Financial, LLC is the only acceptable name that can be written in the section:

"The undersigned does (do) hereby irrevocably constitute and appoint _________ attorney to transfer the said stock or bond(s)."


This applies to the certificate or the stock power.
